ABOUT THE GATHERING
Perimenopause and menopause can bring us face to face with ourselves in ways we may not have expected.
Our bodies change.
Our energy changes.
Our emotions, desires, relationships and priorities may change.
The things we once tolerated can suddenly feel impossible to tolerate.
The ways we have cared for everyone else may no longer feel sustainable.
And the woman looking back at us in the mirror may sometimes feel unfamiliar.
This Gathering Circle is an invitation to explore something that can become deeply important during this season:
Loving who you are, right here, right now.
Not the woman you were twenty years ago.
Not the woman you think you should be.
Not the version of yourself you have spent years trying to maintain for everyone around you.
The woman you are becoming.
Perimenopause and menopause can ask us to find a new kind of balance.
For many of us, much of our earlier life has been shaped around giving, doing, nurturing, working, caring, supporting, achieving and holding everything together.
As we move from the archetypal energy of the Mother towards the Maga, something may begin to shift.
We may feel a stronger pull towards ourselves.
Towards truth.
Towards rest.
Towards boundaries.
Towards pleasure.
Towards knowing what we actually want.
This does not mean we stop loving or caring for the people around us.
It can mean learning how to remain connected to others without continually disconnecting from ourselves.
And that is where balance begins.
During this gathering, we will explore the relationship we have with the woman we are today.
We may look at the expectations we have placed upon ourselves, the ways our changing bodies affect how we see ourselves and what it might mean to begin meeting this season with greater compassion rather than criticism.
For many women, changes in weight, skin, hair, sleep, energy, libido, emotions and body shape can create a feeling of disconnection from the body.
We may find ourselves longing for the woman we used to be.
Comparing ourselves to younger versions of ourselves.
Or wondering why the things that once worked for us no longer do.
But perhaps this season is not asking us to return to who we were.
Perhaps it is asking us to become more deeply connected to who we are now.
We may talk into:
• Finding balance between caring for others and caring for ourselves
• Staying connected to ourselves within our relationships
• The transition from Mother energy into Maga energy
• Changing body image and learning to relate differently to our body
• Letting go of comparison with younger versions of ourselves
• The expectations we place upon ourselves as women
• Changing energy, emotions, sleep and capacity
• Learning to recognise what is enough
• Boundaries and the growing desire to say no
• Desire, libido, pleasure and intimacy
• Reconnecting with sensuality and feeling at home within the body
• Listening to what our body is communicating
• Releasing shame around ageing and change
• Developing greater compassion towards ourselves
• Rediscovering the woman beneath the roles we have carried
• Learning to love who we are becoming
Through breathwork, embodiment, self-inquiry, reflection and open conversation, we will create space to explore where greater balance and connection might be needed in your life.
You may be invited to consider:
• Where have I become disconnected from myself?
• Where am I giving more than I have available to give?
• What does balance actually look like for me now?
• What has changed about the way I see my body?
• Where am I comparing myself to the woman I used to be?
• What do I appreciate about the woman I am today?
• What am I no longer willing to carry?
• What do I need more of?
• What do I need less of?
• Where would a stronger boundary allow me to remain more connected to myself?
• What would it feel like to stop trying to become my old self again?
• What might loving who I am look like in this season of my life?
There can be enormous freedom in recognising that we do not have to keep becoming who we have always been.
Perimenopause and menopause can invite us into a more honest relationship with ourselves.
A relationship where we listen more closely.
Where our needs matter.
Where our pleasure matters.
Where rest matters.
Where our boundaries matter.
Where the relationship we have with ourselves matters.
Loving who you are does not mean loving every change or pretending that this transition is always easy.
Some parts can be uncomfortable, frustrating, confronting and difficult.
It simply means beginning to meet yourself where you are.
With curiosity.
With kindness.
With compassion.
And perhaps with a little more willingness to trust the woman you are becoming.
A NOTE ABOUT THIS GATHERING
This gathering is based on my personal experience, understanding and study of perimenopause and menopause through the lens of Yogic and Tantric philosophy and a natural, holistic approach to wellbeing.
I am not providing medical or psychological advice, diagnosis or treatment. The information and practices shared are not intended to replace support from a qualified medical or mental health professional.
My intention is not to persuade anyone to view perimenopause or menopause in a particular way, or to influence the healthcare choices they make. I am simply offering another perspective through my own lens and experience.
Every woman moves through this transition differently. What supports one woman may not support another. All personal choices and pathways are welcome and respected within this space.
OUR SHARED CONTAINER
This will be a confidential, respectfully held and non-judgmental space.
You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels right for you. There is never any pressure to speak.
When another woman shares, we listen without judging, fixing, changing, comparing or persuading her to see her experience through a particular lens.
We honour that every woman’s journey is her own and that each woman may require different forms of care and support.
The names of those attending, their stories and anything shared within the Gathering Circle are to remain confidential.
We come together not to provide one another with answers, but to listen, witness, learn and create space for each woman to reconnect with herself.

I would love to gather with you.
